*Ingredients:
°1 cup flour
°1/2 teaspoon baking soda
° cup sugar
°dash salt
°1/4 cup (half stick) butter
°1/4 cup vegetable oil
°2 tablespoons cocoa powder
°1/2 cup water
°1/4 cup milk
°1 egg
°1/2 teaspoon vanilla
+Frost Ingredients:
°1/4 cup (half stick) butter
°2 tablespoons cocoa
°3-4 tablespoons milk (as needed for consistency)
°1/2 cup chopped pecans
°2 cups powdered sugar
°1/2 teaspoon vanilla
°Ice cream (for serving)
°Whipped cream (for serving)
*directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F, in bowl, whisking flour, baking soda, sugar and salt also set aside.
In 10-inch cast iron skillet, boilling butter, vegetable oil, cocoa powder, & water. Remove from heat and mix the dry ingredients well. Mix milk, eggs and vanilla. Baking pan cake at 350°F for 15-20 mn
While cake begins to cool, preparing decorations. In saucepan, bring butter, cocoa and milk to a boil. Removing from heat and add powder sugar, nuts and vanilla. Stirring smooth. Pour on warm cake, brush with spoon, & serving with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and whip cream.
