To craft it, you will need the following components:
° Bacon, about 10 slices cut in half.
° a yellow onion, I cut it finely.
° 1/2 finely chopped green pepper.
° 54 oz package of pork and beans.
° 4 tablespoons of ketchup.
° 1/4°C of molasses.
°2/3°C brown sugar.
° 1/4 °C apple cider vinegar
° 2 teaspoons dry mustard
Not:
-1- Cook the bacon halfway through cooking as desired, then set aside on absorbent paper to strain.
-2-Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and place the rack in the lower center of the shelf.
3- Heat about 2 tablespoons of bacon grease or butter over medium heat in a deep skillet. Add chopped onion and green pepper and sauté until softened, 5 minutes.
4-Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well until combined. For a minute, let the mixture boil.
-5- Grease a 13.9 inch baking sheet when the mixture boils.
-6- Pour the beans into the prepared baking dish and place the beans on the fried bacon.
7- Depending on the ideal consistency, bake for 2 to 3 hours maximum.
Until ready to serve, let the beans stand for 5 minutes.
