Country Ranch's green beans and potatoes have plenty of crumbled bacon and ranch seasoning mixed in for a truly delicious Southern side. Pair this delicious vegetarian side dish with chicken, steak, or pork. It also goes great with fried catfish.
* You will need:
° Butter stick (4 tablespoons)
° 1 sweet onion, cutting to thin wedges
° 1 medium red potato, unpeeled, ½-3/4 cubes
° ¼ tsp. Coarsely ground-black-pepper
° 3 slices bacon, cooked and thinly sliced
° ½ tsp. finely minced garlic
° 1½ tsp. Hidden Valley Ranch salad mix or dip mix (both working)
° 1 (14.5 ounce) can green beans, drained
* How to make it :
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan or small skillet. Add onions, potatoes and peppers. Fry over medium heat until potatoes are soft with a fork.
Add bacon, garlic, and ranch mixture. stir well.
Add the green beans, heat and simmer, stirring gently, occasionally so as not to smash.
Add pepper to taste. Add salt only if desired. * Salty ranch mixes
