Just because we're "stuck" at home doesn't mean we can't have fun with our food. On the menu: small bites of fried poutine cheese (cheese curds).
* INGREDIENTS :
° 200 g poutine cheese (cheese curds) from your favorite cheese factory
° 125 ml (½ cup) flour
° 1 beaten egg
° 125 ml (½ cup) breadcrumbs
* PROCEDURES :
Prepare a bowl with the flour, one with the beaten egg and one with the breadcrumbs (that's 3 bowls 😉 )
Roll the pieces of cheese one by one in the flour, taking care to shake them lightly to remove the excess
Then pass each piece of cheese into the beaten egg, taking care to let the excess run off
Finish by rolling each piece of cheese in breadcrumbs
Placing on a baking sheet & freeze about at least 1 h
20 minutes before the end of the previous step, preheat the fryer to 350 ° F
Remove the cheese from the freezer then plunge the breaded pieces of cheese into the deep fryer
Cook for about 2 minutes (we want it to be golden brown)
Serve with a tomato sauce or a dip of your choice
